HARITSONS Group, was established in 1976 by Late Mr. R. N. HARITWAL (Barrister At Law) for mining of Iron Ore and other minerals.
The group developed and made its name in various activities, such as:
Mining
HARITSONS Group has been successfully active in mining, processing and marketing of Iron Ore, Limestone, Rock Phosphate, Gemstones, Bentonite, Silica, Fuller’s Earth, etc. for a number of decades. The group has been active not only in India but also in Southern African countries like Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Madagascar for a long time. HARITSONS Group has been instrumental in use of low grade Rock Phosphate of Rajasthan in fertiliser industry by upgrading the same. Also, been the pioneer to establish use and market of Rajasthan limestone from Jaisalmer area in Steel making. This was started in 1990s and became a very large market within a short time. The group has also been a part of the first joint venture with Government of Orissa for mining of gemstones in Orissa. Also upgraded the technology in gemstone mines in Southern Africa.
BENTONITE
HARITSONS is a new entrant in the field of Bentonite, but the entry is going to be BIG. HARITSONS has acquired a number of Mining Leases for BENTONITE in Barmer District of Rajasthan on area totalling to about 20 hectares. All the mining lease areas are on lands owned by HARITSONS group companies. Further, a large processing plant with a shed of 50,000 square feet and a production capacity of more than 5000 tons per month is being put up in Barmer district, on more than 6 hectares of own land. The plant will be equipped with high quality machinery and shall make Bentonite powder of 90 mesh to 500 for industrial and specialised uses. A state of the art laboratory will also be made at the plant, for quality control of the products. In addition, a R&D lab will also be put up off-site at a suitable place. The commercial production of HARITSONS’ plant is expected to start from April 2024.
